ACTING CAPTAIN/FIRE INVESTIGATOR
Debra is an Acting Captain and Fire Investigator with the Campbell River Fire Rescue. She started her fire service career as a fire dispatcher at CRFD in 2009 and transitioned to firefighter in 2017 at the age of 47, becoming the first professional female in the CRFD suppression division.
Debra has served roles in her Union Local, and proudly worked with the BCPFFA Women's Advisory Committee to bring forth important recommendations. She currently serves as the Project Manager for Fire Service Women BC and formerly served on the Board of Directors with Camp Ignite as the Communications & Correspondence Coordinator from 2019-2021 after volunteering starting in 2018.

JENNY REID
LANGFORD FIRE DEPARTMENT
LIEUTENANT-EMERGENCY PROGRAM SPECIALIST
Jenny started with the Langford Fire Rescue in 2012 as a volunteer firefighter and was hired as a career firefighter in 2018. She also spent six years as a fire dispatcher. She is currently a Lieutenant with suppression and emergency management responsibilities. She also serves on a BCPFFA Women Advisory Sub-Committee and previously participated in an El Salvador Deployment with Firefighters without Borders Canada.
Jenny first attended Camp Ignite as a mentor in 2019 and left inspired by all the people she met. She is excited to support the development of the Island Ignite Mentorship Society and provide opportunities to Vancouver Island Youth

MYSHA DEWAR-MCCLELLAND
SALT SPRING FIRE DEPARTMENT
FIREFIGHTER
Mysha started with Salt Spring Island Fire Rescue as a POC in 2022. She devotes much of her time to delivering Public Education to her community, including teaching First Aid to a Professional Responder (EMR) level.
Mysha loves teaching new firefighters, including recruits in her department and potential future firefighters at the Gulf Island Cadet Camp and Island Ignite. She is particularly passionate about supporting and empowering women through physical fitness and self-defence training.

CFB ESQUIMALT FIRE RESCUE
FIREFIGHTER
Lisa started as a volunteer in 2018 with the Otter Point Fire Department and worked at Metchosin Fire as the Fire Smart Coordinator, before becoming a career firefighter with CFB Esquimalt Fire Rescue in 2022. She is passionate about community service and training. She works as a Live Fire Technician at the Otter Point Training Centre, instructs EMR, First Responder Mental Health and Fire Service Instructor. She is deeply honoured to part of the Fire Service and is grateful for the opportunity to share that with others, especially youth.
